Before And After

                             Before

                            After

Today for Cyber Smart we had to colour in a picture and then compare it to the original picture. Mine looked like this.

I chose blue for the sky because it looked like a stormy night and stormy nights usually have dark skies. My favourite is the colour blue so that's why I changed some colours to blue.

Angles Take Over!

We have been learning how to measure angles with and without a protractor. It was really fun learning about angles because we got to play lots of different angle games while learning about it. My favourite game was a game where you had to aim a tank turret in the right angles to hit the other tank. Have you played any angle games before?

Athletics 2020!

Last week we did athletics at the Westland Highschool. It was really good. I got a placing in everything. I got 1.08 in the High Jump and I got 2.95 in the Long Jump. We also had an option to do the 1000m's and I did. I got third in it. Athletics was really really fun because I tried my best and bet my personal best from last year!

The Suitcase of Electronics

Day:1 We met Mr. Kinane. He is a specialist in Digital Technology and Computational Thinking. We used a chip called a Micro Bit. We used it to make a paper scissors rock game out of code. Me and Jolan worked in a pair and we succeeded in making the code. It was really fun to play around with the micro.bit.

Day:2 On day 2 we hooked up 2 Micro Bits with a piece of code. That piece of code allowed us to chat with each other with the Micro Bits. Our challenge was to see how far we could chat from. We got it to chat from 243 paces away.

Day:3 On day 3 we used what was called a cricket and had a go at using the Micro Bits to make a mini gate. My group was the first group to get our gate working. It was quite hard because when I didn't work we had to figure out what was wrong and then Debug it.

Have you ever used Micro Bits before?

What I Learnt At Woodend Camp

Last week we went to Woodend Christian Camp. While I was there I learnt a lot of things. I learnt to be more responsible and how to work with different people better. I also learnt lots about trust and friendship. Have you ever been to Woodend Camp before?

Woodend Camp 2020 Multimedia Video

This is a video Jack and I have created using photos from our camp at Woodend. We used WeVideo to create this video. It took a while to get the photos in. We did something that not many people did, we added transitions in between the photos and video which made the video look cooler. Have you ever made a video on WeVideo?

My ART!

This is my art that I started in Term 2 before Lockdown. This is how we made it. First, we made a plan. I was one of the only people to make my plan on a computer though. Then we coloured the plan. After that, we drew and cut out the mask and shapes on cardboard. Next, we painted the shapes and mask according to the colours on our plan. After our shapes and masks had dried we outlined them with a permanent marker and stuck the shapes to the mask. Then we took our photo with them and we painted glue all over them to make it look SHINY!

Rocket Launch Challenge

A few days ago we went on a rocket launching website.
On it you could adjust your fuel, your burn, and your thrust.
You could turn drag and mass change on and off.
You had to make it just the right amount so you could launch a satellite.
I learned that rockets don’t need lots of fuel or thrust to make it up high and if you give it too much thrust it could blow up.
I had to use my problem solving skills to make sure I had the right amount of thrust, burn and fuel to launch the satellite.
This was a really fun project to do. Have you ever used this website before?

My Art

This is my Andy Warhol inspired art I started in term one and finished it in term two because of lock down.
We got a photo taken of ourselves and we used the vivid on some acetate on top of the photo then painted the hair, clothes and eyes but not our skin. Most people got to choose a background colour but I didn't get to because I wasn't there but the background still looked alright. We also got to choose how we wanted our photo to be and I wanted it to be sideways because I thought it would look good.Have you ever done an artwork like this before?

St John's

So Today St John came to our school and taught us about safety. They taught us a lot about hypothermia and hyperthermia. They taught us how to treat it and what to do to make it better. I learned lots of new things. Have you ever had St John come to your school.

Pyjama Day

This is a photo of me jumping over a tiger! For Pyjama Day while in lockdown! I used type of 3d animal generator on google. If you search snake or tiger or something like that on google you can view it in 3d! It only works for some animals though and it only works on a phone. Its really cool because you can put life size animals inside your lounge! Have you used this before?

We had to do some research on the Coast to Coast website. Once we found some facts we put them on a colourful slide like this! I learnt that you have to be really fit to do the Coast to Coast. If you want to know a fact is a known true thing but a opinion is what someone thinks. What is your favourite part of this slide?
