Ninja Rush Part 3

This is an animation that my friends and I have been working on for 3 years. Each year we do a different part. If you go back into my older blog posts you will find Ninja Rush parts 2 and 3. We've been doing this in our spare time and it is a good thing to do because you can learn how to animate using google slides. This is a really fun thing to do. The animation is about a group of newly found friends running away from bad guys. My friends have a singular character each but I have 2 because my human character turns into a devil so there are two characters. My characters are Leo and the Devil. Minecraft Extravaganza

Last week we did a monthly challenge on Minecraft. Our challenge was to make stuff on a desert island and then write about it. We did this task because we were trying to convince the rest of the school that Minecraft was good and could be used for teaching and other stuff like that. I think this was cool because I got to work in a group with my friends and we got to build whatever we wanted. We built lots of different thing but I think the hardest thing to build was the dock with the boats. Have you ever used Minecraft at school before? What do you think we could've done to improve our island?

Beyond Earth, The Great Ebook

The other day at school our whole class had to write an Ebook. Mine was about a boy that was able to travel to worlds beyond earth just with the click of his fingers. We were writing the Ebooks because we needed to do some writing and we were also learning to recraft our story's. Recrafting a story is when you look through your story and make the sentences more descriptive and longer if you can. I did quite a bit of recrafting but there were some peices that didn't actually need recrafting because they were already quite descriptive. I thought writing the Ebooks was cool because I got to write about whatever I wanted to.  It is going to be even cooler because we are going to turn them into auido books. Hawaiian Night🔥

Recently New Zealand has gone back into lockdown which I wasn't that happy about because it meant that I wouldn't be able to play basketball on a Friday night or see my friends. Since we couldn't go on holiday or out to a restaurant my family decided that we would have our very own Hawaiian Night. We all dressed up Hawaiin and made ourselves drinks. We had whitebait even though it wasn't very Hawaiin. The whitebait was amazing and the drinks tasted really good. I thought it was cool doing a Hawaiian night.

 

Problem Solving to the Max!

Each week we have been doing 3 problem-solving tasks a week. We have been learning to figure out different maths equations. This is important because you can use maths anywhere to solve problems. I thought this was cool because I got to figure out real-life problems. I did quite a few problems, there were a couple of them that weren't that easy. What sort of maths have you been working on?

Amazing Olympic Extravaganza

This is a slideshow about the Olympic athlete Valerie Adams. I have made this because recently we have been learning about the Olympics. We have also been watching the Olympics and supporting our country. I thought that this was cool because I got to learn some things about some Olympians that I never knew before. I chose to do Valerie Adams because she is one of the best Olympic medalists in NZ at the moment. Did you learn anything new about Valerie Adams? Who is your favourite Olympian?

My Amazing Piano Scratch Game

This is the game that I made on scratch. If you didn't know what scratch is it is a coding website that you can make and play games on.  I have been learning to code my own games and not just modify somebody else's. This is important because it shows you what you can do without copying other people. It also shows that if you try hard enough and concentrate you can do lots of cool things. My game is a Piano game. You use your arrow keys to play different piano sounds. I think it sounds quite good. Have you ever used scratch before? If so what have you made. What do you think of my game?
